Lapstone is a small village, located between the railway line & highway, on the eastern escarpment. 

Lapstone railway station, along with Glenbrook, can serve as an access point for walkers & cyclists wanting to explore the historic relics of former road & railway routes on Lapstone Hill.

After leaving Lapstone, the railway continues its climb, swinging west into 
Glenbrook Gorge.
