News: Trains, Trams, Ts February 2019
Mark Sunday 10 February on your calendar to visit Valley Heights Railway Museum for the Roaring 20s festival event ‘Trains, Trams & Ts’.
The return of many popular attractions will excite young and old alike. Enjoy this great experience with Ford Model T cars, Live Music, Historic School Classroom and the Sydney Morsecodians to celebrate the heady days of the 1920s.
A great selection of veteran cars from the era is displayed on the Museum forecourt, while an enthusiastic audience grooves to the popular Kate Woolfe Trio with their smooth interpretations of classic jazz numbers – boogie or relax under the marquee!
Nepean District Historical Society helps children ‘learn the Three Rs’ – old style, in the hands-on re-enactment of a classroom from bygone days. Then try your hand at the 19th century art of Morse Code messaging. Watch how quickly and accurately the experts do it!
Be creative and re-discover your 1920s flair – admission includes free* entry in the Period Dress Competition with THREE prizes on offer. (Judging at 3pm - no need to be on site).
See all the Museum’s regular attractions including trains, large & small, and take 20 minute rides on the Heritage Listed Steam Tram. Don’t forget the two model rooms and take time for a coffee or snack in the café, before you browse the shop.
So dust off your 20s gear and head along to this unique heritage site and join the fun.
It’s all there - Trains, Trams, Ts and more!
